Cape May Point Closes Beaches and Pavilion Circle

To protect the residents of Cape May Point during this tragic COVID -19 pandemic, Cape May Point is following the recommendation of the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders and joining neighboring communities in closing its beaches and recreational areas to public access.

In recognition of the deadly threats facing our communities, especially in the next crucial few weeks, it is our collective responsibility to follow all the prescribed guidelines – most notably “social distancing” to combat the pandemic.

Our beaches and Pavilion Circle are primary gathering places that left unrestricted undermines our essential need to constrain the spread of the virus by maintaining “social distancing”. Again, to protect the health and safety of our residents, Cape May Point beaches and Pavilion Circle will be closed to the public until further notice.

In addition, we respectfully request that anyone coming to the Borough after traveling from outside the immediate area voluntarily isolate or quarantine themselves for a period of 14 days from the time of entry into Cape May Point or the duration of their stay, whichever is shorter. Thank you.
