The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available for working capital to help small businesses, small agricultrual cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as direct result of the disaster. All forms, applications (with the exception of marriage license applications), and payments can be made via regular mail or dropped through the mail slot in the Borough Hall vestibule.

Atlantic City Electric reminds residents to guard against falling victim to imposter utility scams. When scams occur, a customer typically receives an unsolicited phone call from an individual, who falsely claims to be a company representative. The scammer often warns that the customer’s service will be terminated if they fail to make a payment – usually within a short timeframe through a prepaid debit card or other direct payment method.
