The Public Works Department is responsible for providing great services and a safe environmental for people to live and work. They accomplish this by maintaining all Borough equipment and properties, including roads, buildings, beaches, parks, storm water, and all of the water and sewer infrastructure.

Trash and Recycling is picked up curbside every Monday by Gold Medal Environmental. To ensure pick-up, all trash and recycling containers may be placed at the curb between 3:00 pm Sunday and no later than 5:30 am Monday morning. The containers must be removed from the front of the property by 7 pm Monday. If you have any questions or complaints about your trash/recycling pick up, please contact Gold Medal Environmental at 856.784.5050. Stickers are available at Borough Hall to identify cans for trash and recycling.
Leaf bags are picked up curbside every Tuesday, and are not to exceed 30 lbs.
Branches are picked up curbside every Wednesday and do not have to be placed in bags or bundled.
The Municipal Trash and Recycling Yard – hours vary seasonally as follows:
First Wednesday in April through First Saturday in October: Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Sunday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm *Due to the current situation with COVID-19, the yard will remain closed until further notice.*
First Sunday in October through Last Sunday in December: Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Remainder of December through First Wednesday in April: Closed
Bulk Trash is collected at curbside twice a year on the Tuesday after Memorial Day and the Tuesday after Columbus Day. Bulk trash DOES NOT include: tree stumps, yard waste, cast iron, metal pipes, demolition or construction material, cars or car parts, TV sets, or computers.
