Environmental Commission

The Environmental Commission is responsible for the restoration, preservation, and development of the natural resources located in Cape May Point.  In practice, this involves reviewing, coordinating, researching, and advising the Borough on all environmental matters including the management of public lands.

The Environmental Commission is also responsible for maintaining and updating the Environmental Resources Inventory. The most recent update was in 2017 and can be found (along with 10 appendices) in the Environmental Commission folder in the Document Center.

As the Commissioner of Public Works, Parks and Public Property, Catherine Busch is the liaison for the Environmental Commission.

Information on various environmental topics, including the Borough of Cape May Point List of Native and Invasive Plants , can be found on the Our Environment page.

Questions or concerns can also be directed to ec@capemaypoint.org.

Regular meetings of the Environmental Commission are open to the public and will be held on the second Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted) beginning at 10:00 am via Zoom.  The link to join the meeting is published in the agenda several days prior to the meeting.
