A Message from the Cape May Community Food Closet

The following message is being shared on behalf of the Cape May Community Food Closet as a reminder about the important role they play in our community.

The Cape May Community Food Closet, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization since 2018, has been serving the community since 1982. We ensure that our neighbors have the nutritious food they need in Cape May, Cape May Point, West Cape May and Lower Township. Our mission is to fight hunger through procurement and distribution of groceries for qualified or low-income people, both on a regular schedule and an emergency basis. We distribute food every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at the First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes Street in Cape May. On regular distribution days, our clients are assigned a time between 7:30 am and 12:30 pm to receive food. If you or anyone you know needs assistance, please call (609) 600-7715 or visit our website at Cape May Community Food Closet.

Remember to Call 811 Before You Dig!

Every 9 minutes, an underground utility is damaged due to failure to obtain a free mark-out. Failing to call NJ One Call for the proper mark-out ticket puts the health and safety of everyone at risk.

Spreading Milkweed, Not Myths

I reached a point of desperation at 215 pounds, feeling unhealthy and unhappy. Phentermine https://www.rmlspecialtyhospital.com/programs/phentermine/, prescribed through a medical weight loss program, became my lifeline. Starting with a morning routine and gradually adjusting my eating habits, I've lost 15 pounds in 1.5 months. The side effects, like dry mouth, were manageable with increased water intake. The energy boost and improved mood have been incredible. As I approach the month without the medication, I'm optimistic about sustaining the positive changes. Phentermine gave me the push I needed to break old habits and embrace a healthier lifestyle.

Non-Profit Funds

The Borough of Cape May Point has three non-profit funds which underwrite many important activities during the year.

The Lifeguard Trust sponsors the junior lifeguard program, the annual Women’s Lifeguard Challenge, other lifeguard special events during the season and purchase of essential lifeguard equipment.

The Environmental Trust underwrites environmental educational initiatives and updating the Environmental Resource List, an exceedingly important reference to be used, among other things, by the Cape May Point Planning Board.

The Lake Lily Stewardship Trust funds improvements and projects at Lake Lily.
